The Zeitgeist Gallery is hosting "Tri-Polar 2" from September 2-15th, with artwork from Matt Smith, Scott Getchell, and Mister Reusch. Like the first "Tri-Polar" show, the theme is "stuff we're obsessed with", so be on the lookout for lots of Halloween artwork from Mister Reusch. The opening reception is Saturday night, September 6th from 6-9 pm, so come on over. www.zeitgeist-gallery.org

Mister Reusch has been invited to participate in another one-night-only multi-media group exhibit at the Boston Center for the Arts Cyclorama building. Mister Reusch showed 4 designs in the big NFS "TextStyles" T-shirt art show
at the Washington Street Art Center in June, 2003. Opening night was packed, with guests viewing 215 shirts by over 80 artists adorning the walls. The star of the show was a 10-week old pug named Winston, arriving from Reuschy's hometown to gnaw happily on all present with his mouthful of lethal pin-teeth. Click on the show poster to the left to view the carnage. To see each and every shirt design displayed and other pictures from the opening, view the extensive photo archives on the websites www.nfsindustries.com and www.magmothedestroyer.org. A big thanks to NFS Industries and all at the Washington Street Art Center for putting this huge show together.

The Zeitgeist Gallery in Cambridge, MA, presented "TriPolar", the work of
Kevin Banks, Scott Getchell, and Mister Reusch in early December 2002. The TriPolar show was based on the following (fictitious) premise: "Doctor Rudolph Schmidt, the Boston psychologist of the rich and famous, presents the work of three of his better-known patients: Kevin Banks, Scott Getchell, and Mister Reusch. These Boston illustrators have courageously struggled to overcome personal demons and juvenile obsessions for years, and with the costly help of the renowned Doctor Schmidt, they now present the culmination of his long, therapeutic efforts---a three-man art show that boldly drags out into the harsh and unflinching light of day, honest and cathartic fine art exposing the weird interests, deviant pastimes, and bizarre fixations that have made Banks, Getchell, and Reusch the shambling and confused hollow husks of men you've all known up to this vital turning point." In any case, there were plenty of paintings featuring dogs, monsters, and pin-up girls with candy from Mister Reusch. The show was a big success and TriPolar 2 has already been scheduled for September 2003! Check back here for updates.

Mister Reusch had 20 concert posters in the "Artifacts of the Improbable"
poster show held in Philadelphia in mid-December 2002. Thanks to James
Lewes for organizing this huge group show of over 120 poster artists.

Mister Reusch showed 15 new spooky paintings in the Halloween show,
"Kreature Triple-Feature", with Stephen Blickenstaff and John Detrich at
Gallery Bink in Portland, OR, for the month of October 2002. Thanks to Bink owner James Calhoun for organizing this creepy exhibit.

Megan Besmirched invited Mister Reusch to submit 2 paintings for her "Go-Go Art Show", a one-day-only unthemed group exhibit in Dana Point, CA. Also showing work at this annual hot rod rally held October 13, 2002, were Megan Besmirched, Beanpole, Bosko, Dave Burke, Robert Cadena, Tony Carlson, Carson, Craig Christy, L. Croskey, Uncle Dru, Extremo, Jean-Paul Garnier, Lisa Petrucci, Jason Van Winkle, and Dennis Worden.

Mister Reusch's Halloween Art Show was held at Dagmar's in Cambridge, MA, in October, 2001. At the opening reception over $200 worth of Halloween candy was inhaled, creepy paintings were bought, and many left with stomach aches combined with the heebie-jeebies. Sincere thanks to Julie Allen for making this spooky show possible.

The Rock Poster Show at Bill's Bar (www.billsbar.com) in Boston featured the concert posters of 6 New England artists including Mister Reusch. A big "Right On!" to Scarrie (pictured) for organizing and hanging this amazing group show, which was on view from November 2001 through January 2002 before travelling to New York for another successful run at the Core Gallery. Mister Reusch's 1999 solo exhibit at Philadelphia's Space 1026 featured separate walls of snowboard art (sketches, 6'x2' original art, and the snowboards themselves), concert posters, freelance illustrations, and sketchbook pages.  Nearly 200 pieces were shown, and many who attended brought their dogs.

Mister Reusch has shown his work in several group shows in the Boston area, and had an 87-piece solo exhibit at Bradford College in 1995.  His art was included in MassArt's Mass Arts show, a juried exhibit of 23 Massachusetts College of Art Design Department alumni in 1997.  Mister Reusch's display included bundled stacks of the Boston Phoenix bearing his cover art, and a real refrigerator door mounted on the wall, with original childhood drawings of Batman, Darth Vader, and Charlie's Angels held on with fruit magnets.
